Odisha IPS Anupama James Appointed as NIA SP
Bhubaneswar: Anupama James, a 2013-batch IPS officer of the Odisha cadre, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on deputation for a five-year term.
Previously serving as the Vigilance SP in Odisha, James has been relieved of her duties by the state government to assume her new role at the Centre, according to a notification issued by the Home Department on Saturday.
The NIA, established under the NIA Act of 2008, functions as India’s central counter-terrorism law enforcement agency, handling cases related to national security and terrorism.
