Odisha Govt to Launch Mukhyamantri Bus Seva in Kotia to Boost Connectivity

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to strengthen public transport and improve connectivity in remote areas, Odisha Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena on Tuesday announced the launch of the Mukhyamantri Bus Seva in the Kotia region of Koraput district.
Speaking to the media, Minister Jena said the initiative aims to address long-standing transportation challenges in Kotia, a region that has struggled with poor infrastructure for decades. “Under the leadership of Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, all departments will work in coordination for the comprehensive development of Kotia,” he said.
The Mukhyamantri Bus Seva will focus on enhancing last-mile connectivity and providing residents with better access to essential services, markets, and educational institutions.
The minister also highlighted the region’s natural richness, pointing out that one of Kotia’s hills is widely referred to as the ‘Golden Hill’ due to its mineral wealth.
The proposed bus service is expected to significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of the area and improve quality of life for its residents.
