Odisha Govt Sanctions 267 Posts in Prosecution Directorate

Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to strengthen the legal infrastructure, the Odisha Government has approved the creation of 267 new posts in the Directorate of Public Prosecution, Bhubaneswar.

According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the newly sanctioned positions have been communicated to the Accountant General, with details on categories and pay levels. Out of the total posts, 163 have been allocated to the Directorate of Public Prosecution, while the remaining will be distributed among various District Directorates of Public Prosecution across the state.

The recruitment process for these posts will be carried out in accordance with the Odisha Reservation of Vacancies (ORV) Act and standard recruitment procedures, the department stated.

This initiative is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the prosecution system in Odisha’s judicial framework.
