Odisha Govt Committed to Fulfilling Poll Promises: CM
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reaffirmed the Odisha Government’s commitment to fulfilling all promises made in the poll manifesto, highlighting key initiatives for women and farmers.
Speaking on Thursday, CM Majhi emphasized that the government will operate based on public suggestions. As part of this approach, the ‘Vision 2036’ blueprint has been presented to the public, aiming to achieve the goal of a ‘Vikashit Odisha’ by 2036.
Addressing the implementation of the Subhadra Yojana, Majhi revealed that over 80 lakh women have already received financial assistance under the scheme. By January 2025, the number of beneficiaries will rise to one crore. The second instalment of Subhadra Yojana will be disbursed in March 2025, benefiting over one crore women simultaneously.
Majhi also outlined plans to implement the ‘Lakhapati Didi’ scheme to further empower women financially. State ministers have been deployed to districts to conduct surveys and oversee the programme. Within 193 days, ministers will complete district tours in 101 days and stay in each district for 42 days to ensure comprehensive outreach.
The Odisha Government’s initiatives reflect a strong focus on inclusive development and economic upliftment for women across the state.
