Odisha Government committed to make state a one: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has asserted that the State government is moving towards building a prosperous Odisha,

Addressing the “Odisha Day’ celebration at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Friday, he said Odisha’s unique handicrafts and handlooms have gained international fame today.

“Odisha is exhibiting it at the India International Trade Fair in New Delhi. As a result, people from all over the country are getting an opportunity to learn about this art of Odisha,” said the Chief Minister.

He said events like the IITF are very helpful in spreading the rich art, culture and tradition of Odisha.

The Chief Minister said, “Odisha will celebrate 100 years of the formation of a separate state in 2036. For this, the state government is moving towards our commitment to build a new and prosperous Odisha.”

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a developed India by 2047 and on this basis, the development process of Odisha is being accelerated.

Odisha will be the first coach in India’s Development journey of the Year.

The Chief Minister said that Odisha has a strong infrastructure for setting up modern industries and the state government has also introduced a special policy for this.

“Odisha’s rich mineral wealth, long beaches and vast forests attract foreign industrialists and entrepreneurs.

“Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave is being organized in the month of January 2025 to establish more industries in Odisha,” said Majhi.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister visited the special ‘Odisha Mandap’. Here, he visited various stalls displaying handicrafts and handicrafts, handmade items of Mission Shakti women, tribal culture and artefacts and various rural products.

This time, the Chief Minister praised the ‘Odisha Mandap’ designed on the theme ‘Developed India, Developed Odisha’.
