Odisha Announces Final Round of Phase-I UG Admissions for 2025-26

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department has released the final merit list for Phase-I undergraduate (UG) admissions for the 2025-26 academic session, marking the conclusion of the first phase of the admission process.
According to the department, a total of 2,65,590 students applied for UG courses across the state against a total sanctioned seat strength of 2,74,365. In the first round, 79,752 students secured admission, while 29,648 students were admitted in the second round, bringing the total enrolment so far to 1,09,400 students under Phase-I.
The third and final merit list, published today, includes the names of 49,818 selected candidates—21,023 male, 28,792 female, and 3 transgender students.
All selected candidates in the final round are required to click on the “Freeze” option and complete admission formalities. They must pay the admission or differential fees (if applicable) online between July 1 (12:00 PM) and July 4 (3:00 PM), download their intimation letters, and report to their allotted institutions from July 2 to July 4 (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM) to complete the admission process.
As this is the final round of Phase-I, the “slide” and “float” options will no longer be available, the department clarified.

- Arts: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 90.83% (Political Science)
- Science:
- Physical Science: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 92.33% (Physics)
- Biological Science: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 91.83% (Zoology)
- Commerce: Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 89.83% (Commerce)
- Shastri (Sanskrit): Sanskrit (Degree) College, Badakia – 52.72% (Sahitya)
- Self-Financing: Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (Autonomous) College, Bhubaneswar – 87.33% (Computer Science)
- Law: University Law College, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar – 82.83% (5-Year Integrated B.A. LL.B)
The department is expected to release details of Phase-II admissions following the completion of Phase-I.
