Odisha: 28 Officers Assigned New Roles After IAS Promotion

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday issued fresh postings for officers recently promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre. A notification in this regard was released by the General Administration Department.

The officers were elevated from the State Civil Services to the IAS cadre against vacancies determined by the Central government. While several officers have been reassigned, many have been retained in their current departments with new designations.

Dharam Hansdah, previously serving as Special Secretary in the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, has now been appointed as Joint Secretary in the same department.

Similarly, Rina Mohapatra, who held the post of Special Secretary in the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department, has been posted as Joint Secretary to the same department.

Lily Kumari Kullu, earlier Special Secretary in the Revenue & Disaster Management Department, will now serve as Joint Secretary in the same department.

The reshuffle aims to streamline administrative functioning following their elevation to the IAS cadre.
