Odia sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra takes oath as RS member

Renowned architect and sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra took oath as the member of Rajya Sabha today.

Mohapatra took oath in Odia language in the presence of M Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President and Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament.

Notably, Mohapatra is an internationally renowned authority on stone carving, He was awarded Padma Shri in 1975 and Padma Bhushan in 2001. He was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 2013 on occasion of 64th Republic day of India.
