NSG arrives in Puri

Puri: A team of National Security Guard (NSG) arrived in Puri today over the security of Srimandir. The SJTA and NSG will hold a meeting today over the Shree Jagannath temple security.

The Puri police had earlier held key meetings over the safety of the Temple while the Puri SP will conduct a discussion with the NSG team over tightening the security in the temple in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.

Ahead of Rath Yatra, Puri seems to be a potential target. Thus the tightening of security in Puri will be discussed.

In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, mock drills will be conducted at as many as 12 places in Odisha. The Union Home Ministry has issued a directive declaring mock drills on May 7 all over India.
