No parking fees in Bhubaneswar airport
Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided not to charge parking or entry fee at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in the capital city as per a new policy issued by the state government.
As per a new policy issued by the AAI on December 10, there will be no free time limit system for parking or entry of vehicles at the BPIA, said Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha in the Rajya Sabha.
Moreover, there is a free time limit for a vehicle to pick and drop passengers during which no fee is charged. The parking/entry fee is charged only from a vehicle which overstays beyond the free time limit.
With the new rule to come into force, the vehicles entering into the airport for pick-up or drop the passengers at the parking lane will not be charged. However, the commercial vehicles will be exempted to avail free parking service in the new policy.
