NNKS to gherao Raj Bhawan on January 8

Bhubaneswar, Dec 19: The Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) has announced to  gherao the Raj Bhawan here on January 8 to press for ‘price, prestige and pension’ to the farmers of Odisha.

National convener of the Sangathan, Akshaya Kumar said here on Thursday that the state government has repeatedly told us that it has taken up our issue with the Prime Minister.

 “We want to ask the state government that why it is not taking up the farmers’ issues on its own?” Kumar said.

He also said that the Sangathan will take up the matter with the Prime Minister in Khurda during his visit to Odisha on December 22 and submit a memorandum in this connection.
