Nilgiri MLA Offers Silver Feet to Mahaprabhu

Baleswar: Nilgiri MLA Santosh Khatua has donated two pairs of silver feet to Nilgiri Jagannath Temple on Wednesday ahead of the deities’ Suna Besha rituals. The legislator urged the servitors and the temple trustees, to adorn Lord Jagannath and Balabhadra with the newly crafted silver feet during the Suna Besha, scheduled today in the afternoon.

While handing over two pairs of silver- crafted feet worth over Rs 11.4 Lakh for the Lords, Khatua said, “I was keen to offer pairs of silver feet to the Lords following a darshan of the Suna Besha in Puri.” Lord Jagannath made it possible today when the lotus feet of the Lord will be worshiped with the silver-feet on the chariots.

With acknowledging the valuables, Baleswar district admin and temple trustees applauded the intrinsic devotion of the Legislator.
