NIA Seeks Public Help in Pahalgam Terror Attack Probe

Jammu: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday issued a public appeal urging tourists, visitors, and local residents who may have information, photographs, or videos related to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
The agency, which is spearheading the probe into the deadly assault that claimed 26 lives and left several others injured, has already collected a significant volume of visual material from the attack site. However, it aims to scale up its efforts to ensure that no crucial lead is overlooked.
The NIA has requested anyone with relevant inputs to contact them via mobile at 9654958816 or landline at 011-24368800, and provide their personal details along with a description of the information or media they wish to share. A senior official will follow up with each caller to collect and verify the submissions.
“Tourists and others present near the site may have inadvertently captured key moments that could help us identify the perpetrators and their methods,” an NIA spokesperson said.
Multiple photos and videos from the scene have already surfaced on social media platforms, and the NIA plans to conduct a meticulous review of all such content, along with fresh evidence that may emerge through public cooperation.
NIA teams remain stationed in Pahalgam, where they continue to comb through the site and record witness statements in an effort to unravel the conspiracy behind the unprecedented terror strike targeting civilians in the region.
