New Member in Nandankanan: Tigress ‘Sneha’ Gives Birth to 2 Cubs

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Bhubaneswar: New member arrived in the only zoo of the state. Tigress Sneha gave birth to two cubs at the Nandankanan Zoological Park today.

With this, the number of tigers at the park climbed to 27. The white tigress delivered one cub at 3.38 AM and another at 5.44 AM. Sex and colour of the cubs were not yet identified.

Mating of the tigress with tiger ‘Saif’ took place near about three months ago, zoo sources said. ‘Saif’ was brought from Hyderabad zoo under the animal exchange programme.
