New Assignment For Nikunja Dhal

Bhubaneswar: Additional Chief Secretary to CM Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been relieved from the state government with effect from May 2. He will join his new assignment as Officer on Special Duty in Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.

IAS Nikunja Bihari Dhal of Odisha Cadre of 1993 batch was relieved from Odisha. In pursuance of Order No.36/01/2025-EO(SM-1) dated 18 04 2025 read with No 36/01/2025-EO(SM-1) dated 01.05.2025 of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India.

He was relieved by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, Government of Odisha on May 2.

“Shri Nikunja Bihari Dhal, lAS (OR:93), presently in the cadre, as Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs vice Shri Umang Narula, IAS (AGMUT:89) upon his superannuation on 30.06.2025,” the notification read released on April 18, 2025. However, he was relieved on May 2 to join as the Officer on Special Duty of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
