Nayagarh Executive Engineer in Vigilance Net

(Reporters today, Bhubaneswar): Vigilance officials on Thursday raided the house and properties of an Executive Engineer in Nayagarh district for accumulating disproportionate assets to his known sources of income. The accused officer is currently posted as an executive engineer in the Minor Irrigation Project in the district.

Acting on the allegation against the accused engineer, a team of the anti-corruption wing from Bhubaneswar and Berhampur today conducted simultaneous raid at eight places including the office and properties belonging to him.

Raids are being conducted at his quarters and house in Bhubaneswar. The exact amount of disproportionate assets possessed by the accused officer will be ascertained after completion of the search, sources informed. The raid was underway till the last report came in.
