Navy Day 2024

Puri: India will witness the Navy Day celebrations at Puri today. For the celebrations traffic regulations and parking zone advisory has been issued by Police.

President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at 9:45 am at the Samanga Helipad at Puri after taking the Mi-17 helicopter from Biju Pattnaik International airport, Bhubaneswar.  From there she will reach Srimandir at Puri and seek blessings. She will spend around 35 minutes in the temple.

For her darshan, the darshan for the general public has been stopped from 8:30 am onwards at Srimandir.

After having lunch at Raj Bhavan she will attend the Navy Day celebrations. Security has been tightened for her presence in the long-day Navy Day celebrations. Police have issued traffic advisory.

Parking zones for Navy Day 

The four-wheelers travelling from Bhubaneswar will take Maltipatpur and can park the vehicles at Talabania.

The two-wheelers coming from Bhubaneswar can take the Batagaon Mangalahat by-pass and park at Sterling.

Four-wheelers and two- wheelers coming from Konark will park at Talabania.

Vehicles from Brahmagiri can park at Sterling.

People with orange passes will park at Jail Road and Saradhabali

The blue pass holders will park at Hotel Nilachal Ashok and SCS college.

On the other hand, all the government and private schools in Puri Municipality will remain closed on December 4 today for the Navy Day celebrations. However, the PARAKH examination conducted by NCERT will take place. Candidates can take the examination from 7:00 am till 12:00 at the respective centre.
