Naveen’s New Year Bonanza for Silver City

(Haraprasad Bisoi) Cuttack: In a major developmental announcement, the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik  today gave new year bonanza to the millennium city .Naveen said the Ring Road in Cuttack will become six-lane while the expansion of SCB Medical College and Hospital in the city will start from March 2020.

Naveen further said that 424 acres created after reclamation of land from Mahanadi coast will be utilised to add ecological, recreational, sporting, cultural, aspirational, technological value in the life of the people of the ex-capital.

It will be the State Government’s Endeavour to prepare a decongestion plan for Cuttack as to enable our beloved millennium city to have wider roads, better accessibility, public spaces and utility, parks, modern urban infrastructure, parking, etc, Naveen said. Objective will be to keep most of the reclaimed areas with greenery and open space, and utilise the rest of the land for the development purpose. In this transformative process, we will engage the best in class city planners, he added.
