Naveen Urged to Open Corona Ward at VIMSAR

Sambalpur (Reporters Today Bureau): To keep western part of the state ready to fight against the deadly Coronavirus, Member of parliament Nitesh Ganga Deb has written a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urging him to take steps for opening of a special ward for the hazardous virus at VSS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Burla.

In the letter, the parliamentarian stated that the Burla hospital is only institute in the entire western region that can meet the growing need of its people for testing and treatment of Corona patients.

“There is no special Corona ward in any of the hospitals in western Odisha. A dedicated Coronavirus isolation ward may be opened in Burla hospital for testing and treatment  affected patients of Sambalpur and other adjoining areas,” he wrote. The MP urged Naveen to take the matter into serious consideration and issue necessary instructions for the same at the earliest.
