Naveen Patnaik emerges No. 1 in India Today’s Mood of Nation poll

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has emerged No.1 in the latest India Today Mood of Nation Poll with regard to popularity within one’s own state. At the national level, he has emerged as the sixth best performing CM.

As per the report, which is a subjective study of voter perception across the country, the No.1 status is more a reflection of popularity rather than a test of governance.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has topped the list while Bihar CM Nitish Kimar and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal competed for the second spot.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath secured the third spot while Andhra Pradesh CM secured the fourth place.

Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh and his Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chouhan competed for the fifth position.

Notably, the Odisha CM had earlier last year won the prestigious Outlook Speakout Award-2017 as the best administrator in the country. He was chosen from among six CMs including Nitish Kumar, Manik Sarkar, Mamata Banerjee, Devendra Fadnavis and Siddaramaiah.
