Naveen Congratulates Pramod Bhagat For Historic Gold Medal Win at Paralympics
Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik today congratulated Pramod Bhagat on becoming the first badminton player from India to win a gold medal at Tokyo Paralympics 2020. Naveen took to Twitter to extend his best wishes to the 33-year-old homegrown badminton player and said, “your achievement has brought laurels to the entire nation. Wish you a bright future.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the badminton player for his achievement. ‘Pramod Bhagat has won the hearts of the entire nation. He is a Champion, whose success will motivate millions. He showed remarkable resilience and determination,’ the PM tweeted.
Creating history, Bhagat defeated Great Britain’s Daniel Bathell 2-0 in the Men’s Singles SL3 final to win gold medal at the Paralympic Games.
