Naveen Announces Candidates for Rajya Sabha Polls

Bhubaneswar (Adarsh Rout): Biju Janata Dal boss and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced party candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls to four seats.

He named Subash Singh, Chairperson of Odisha Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board; Muna Khan, Advisor to Minorities Affairs department; Sujeet Kumar, Advisor to special development council and Mamata Mahanta, BJD Mahila Wing member, Mayurbhanj as the candidates of BJD to contest in the poll scheduled on March 26.

Worth mentioning, the terms of four MPs, Anubhav Mohanty, Narendra Kumar Swain, Sarojini Hembram and Ranjib Biswal, from Odisha in Rajya Sabha will expire on April 2, 2020. Ahead of completion of their tenure, the poll will be held to fill the seats in Rajya Sabha.
