Naba Das murder case: Congress says ‘planned murder’ situation needs SIT probe

BJP raised the ante against the BJD government demanding the government should order a probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) as the ‘shoddy’ investigation by the Crime Branch in the murder case of Naba Das is empty as there is still mystery whether the killing was due to political or business rivalry.

The issue of murder of Naba Das was raised during the Zero Hour of the Odisha Assembly on Monday.

Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati put a red eye pointing Naba Das killing as a ‘planned murder.’ According to Bahinipati, the situation which is going after the murder of Naba Das creates a guilt and a view of unsatisfaction among people. They are not happy with the ongoing investigation by the Crime Branch.

He added, so far the ongoing investigation is only limited to finding out whether the accused and dismissed Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Gopal Das is mentally

unstable or not and the real fact is covered.
