Modi’s Roadshow in Bhubaneswar Today
Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to conduct a roadshow in Bhubaneswar today, as announced by the police, who have heightened security measures for the event. PM Modi is gearing up for a packed schedule during his visit to Odisha today with a roadshow planned from Mastercanteen Square to Vani Vihar at 6 pm. Following the roadshow, he will spend the night in the state capital city.
Preparations are already in motion, with BJP workers being rallied from various regions of Bihar to ensure the success of the event. The roadshow will highlight the Prime Minister’s endeavors in upholding the constitution, fostering national development, and advancing the reservation system.
This visit marks Modi’s second trip to the state within a week. Previously, on May 5, he touched down in Bhubaneswar and stayed overnight at the Raj Bhawan. The following day, on May 6, he addressed public gatherings in Berhampur and Nabarangpur, rallying support for party candidates.
The momentum continues as Modi is slated to hold a massive public meeting in Balangir on May 11, the day after his Bhubaneswar meeting. His back-to-back schedules underscore the significance of Odisha in the political landscape and the BJP’s concerted efforts to bolster its presence in the state.
A formidable security arrangement is in place for the upcoming event, with a deployment of 55 platoons of police force. This comprises 5 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), 10 Additional DCPs, 27 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), 41 Inspectors, and 180 other officers. Additionally, three units of the anti-terrorist Special Tactical Unit (STU) will be on duty. Furthermore, the entire route of the roadshow will be cordoned off, with the assistance of dog and bomb squads ensuring thorough security measures.
