Mo Bus Drivers Trained on Road Safety

Bhubaneswar: Amid rising accidents involving Mo Buses, the Commissionerate Police and Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) organized an awareness session on road safety and responsible driving for Mo Bus drivers, including female drivers and field staff.

A total of 140 drivers participated in the session, where they were urged to adhere to speed limits, avoid reckless driving, refrain from mobile usage while driving, and park only in designated bus lanes. They were also sensitized on maintaining polite behavior in case of any incident and reporting concerns to higher authorities immediately.

The session emphasized regular health check-ups for drivers and enhanced passenger assistance by female staff to ensure safer public transportation in Bhubaneswar. Officials warned that strict action, including the cancellation of driving licenses, would be taken against repeat offenders.

The awareness program was attended by Police Commissioner Dr. S. Dev Datta Singh, Additional CP Dr. Umasankar Dash, Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra, DCP Traffic, DCP CP Headquarters, CRUT MD M. Tirumala Naik, and CRUT GM, who sensitized the participants on the importance of road safety and disciplined driving.
