Mo Bus Accident in Bhubaneswar: Woman Dies

Bhubaneswar: In yet another tragic accident involving a Mo Bus, a woman lost her life, and another person was injured near the Tamando overbridge in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
According to reports, the bus first hit a woman and then dragged her for nearly 100 meters, leading to her death on the spot. The incident sparked public outrage, with angry locals staging a protest before police arrived at the scene.
The accident occurred as the Mo Bus was traveling from Bhubaneswar towards the Kalinga Nagar depot. Meanwhile, four individuals on scooters were using the service road after dropping off their wards for a night coach. At the point where the flyover begins, the bus driver first collided with a scooter, then another, before fatally hitting a woman near DN Regalia and dragging her.
This is not an isolated incident. Cases of reckless driving by Mo Bus drivers in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack have led to growing public anger. On February 4, a Mo Bus had run over a minor girl near Raghunathpur while she was on her way to school, sparking protests with locals blocking the Nandankanan-Jaydev Vihar main road by burning tires.
The rising number of such accidents has raised concerns over road safety and the need for stricter regulations on public transport operations in the city.
