Minor girl sexually assaulted in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: In a horrific incident, a minor girl was sexually assaulted by a group of men. The incident happened in Chandagarh area under Sadar police station in Jagatsinghpur district.

According to information, on Monday night the girl had gone to attend the birthday of a friend. After attending the birthday party she was returning to her house with another friend and her mother. At this time, a group of miscreants kidnapped her to an isolated place where the minor girl was sexually assaulted.

The victim somehow managed to escape from the scene and ran away to her home. She was in a very critical condition at that time and reportedly fainted after reaching her home. Her family members rushed her to Jagatsinghpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

Her father then lodged a written complaint in the police station. The police took the matter seriously and Jagatsinghpur SP, IIC and the Sadar MLA met the girl.

According to police, they have identified the miscreants and started a manhunt to catch them. Police are enquiring the friend and the friend’s mother. The incident has sent shockwaves in the area.
