MCX City Fraud: Account Freezed

Sambalpur: In the much-discussed MCX City scam in Sambalpur city, the Sambalpur police have seized a total of 58 bank accounts of the main accused Santosh Kumar Acharya. In addition, a total of Rs 81 lakh 20 thousand has been frozen. In this regard, IG Himanshu Lal and SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamu informed the media at the district police headquarters.

According to information, on February 18, hundreds of people gathered at Dhanupali police station and complained that MCX City chief Santosh Kumar Acharya had cheated various depositors of Rs 1200 crore. He was cheating people by luring them with high interest rates. Action was taken by the police in this incident and the accused was arrested in advance and his house and office were sealed by the police. However, since the value of the assets sealed by the accused so far is more than Rs 100 crore, the police have handed over the case to the EOW and informed it in writing for further investigation.
