Mayurbhanj: Father, Daughter die in Road Accident

Baripada: In a tragic incident a girl and his father died in a road accident today in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The brother of the girl has been admitted to hospital in a critical condition. The incident took place at the Rugudi Chhaka under Sarat Police Station limits in Udala area.

The deceased father has been identified as Kumar Marandi and his deceased daughter has been identified as Salge Marandi. The critically injured son of the deceased man is Ruidas Marandi.

As per reports, yesterday, Kumar Marandi of Rugudi village had gone to the Ashram School in Jamupada village under Kaptipada police station limits to pick up his daughter. His son was also with him.

The three were then returning home happily. Just a few meters away from their house, the bike hit a roadside mahua tree.

As a result, the father and daughter died on the spot while the son Ruidas Marandi sustained critical injury. He was shifted to Udala Hospital in critical condition. But as his condition deteriorated he was then shifted to Baripada.

After getting information Sarat police reached the spot and started investigation.
