Mandatory of Odia for all official works in RD Department

The Rural Development Department of Odisha government has made Odia mandatory for all the official work of the department.

Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh has issued an order to all officers, field officers, top engineers, and employees, aiming to promote the use of Odia in official communications.

As per the order, all office documents and correspondence, official meeting statements, resolutions, directives, and departmental communications will be published in Odia. However, the cabinet memorandums will be published in both Odia and English.

Previously CM Mohan Majhi on the occasion of officially starting work from the CMO on July 4 had announced that all official work in the State shall be done in Odia language.
