Man Kills Wife in Dhenkanal; Burial Foiled by Villagers

Kamakhyanagar: A shocking incident unfolded in Majhika village under Mahabirod Police Station limits in Dhenkanal district, where a man allegedly killed his wife.

The accused, identified as Jaga Dehury, reportedly attacked his wife with an axe, killing her on the spot.

Sources indicate that Dehury, believed to be mentally unsound, then attempted to bury his wife’s body by digging a hole with a spade.

However, a few villagers witnessed the act and intervened, stopping him from proceeding further. They immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, authorities reached the scene and initiated an investigation. The accused man has been detained by the police for further questioning.
