Man Critically Injured in Explosion at Illegal Firecracker Unit in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A man sustained critical injuries on Saturday following an explosion at his residence in Uppersahi village, under the Fatehgarh police jurisdiction of Nayagarh district. The blast occurred while the man was allegedly operating an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit from his home.

The injured individual, identified as Dhaneswar Dalei, a resident of Tarabalo village, was reportedly making firecrackers illegally when the explosion happened. The powerful blast left him critically injured, and he was immediately transported to the Bhapur Community Health Center (CHC). Due to the severity of his condition, he was later transferred to a hospital in Bhubaneswar for further treatment.

The explosion completely destroyed Dalei’s residence. Local authorities are investigating the incident, as firecracker manufacturing without permits poses serious risks to safety and is illegal.
