Man Critically Injured in Bhubaneswar Sword Attack

Bhubaneswar: A young man, Shibaprasad Srichandan, was critically injured after being attacked by three motorcycle-borne miscreants late last night in the Pallaspalli area of Bhubaneswar. The incident occurred around 10 PM as Shibaprasad was returning home from work on his scooter.

According to reports, the assailants chased Shibaprasad before launching a brutal assault with swords. Following the attack, the perpetrators fled, leaving him severely wounded. Shibaprasad was initially taken to Capital Hospital for emergency treatment but was later shifted to AlIMS Bhubaneswar as his condition worsened.

Police have launched an investigation and are working to trace the attackers. The motive for the assault remains unclear; however, it is suspected that the assailants may have premeditated the attack, gathering information on Shibaprasad’s movements and waiting in Pallaspalli to intercept him.
