Man Arrested with Leopard Skin in Boudh
Boudh: A Special Task Force (STF) team arrested 28-year-old Narayan Majhi on charges of possessing a leopard skin following a tip-off. The raid took place on the Manmunda-Sagada road near the Meheruni bridge under Manmunda police limits.
In addition to the leopard skin, the STF recovered other incriminating materials from Majhi’s possession. He was arrested and later forwarded to the JMFC court in Kantamal, Boudh district. A complaint has been filed against him under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
The seized leopard skin will be sent to the Director of the Wildlife Institute of India in Dehradun for biological examination. Authorities have launched an investigation into the case.
