Mahaprasad rate chart experiment

Puri: In order to determine the price and fix rate chart, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) prepared ‘Mahaprasad’ (Abadha) on an experimental basis at Srimandir today.

The SJTA’s attempted to study the expenditure on raw materials and labour for the preparation of Abadha before finalising the rate chart.

Talking to media persons after a meeting with the Suar Mahasuar Nijog and district Collector Jyoti Prakash Dash, SJTA chief administrator Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said that the rate chart will be put up at the Ananda Bazar after taking into consideration the average costing for Abadha preparation.

He said the Abadha was prepared in the Kotha Bhoga Rosasala today as decided earlier. The temple administration provided all the raw materials required for the Abadha preparation and the Suar bodies also extended full support in the process.
