LSI workshop on capacity building of govt employees organised

Bhubaneswar: An experience sharing and consultative workshop was organized here under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Large Scale Interventions (LSI) in capacity building recently.

LSI is a core component of Mission Karmayogi, aimed at transforming the capacity building of government employees.

Being the nodal agency for coordination of implementation of Mission Karmayogi in the State, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration conducted this workshop in collaboration with Capacity Building Commission of Government of India.

DGP YB Khurania, and his senior officials including ADG (Training) Sanjeeb Panda, Secretary Shalini Pandit and senior officials of School and Mass Education Department attended the workshop.

The event was anchored by Director General, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration G Mathi Vathanan.

Dr. R. Balasubramanium, Member (HR), CBC, participated virtually along with his team.

He commended the Odisha Government’s proactive efforts in capacity building, emphasizing its potential to ensure citizen-centric governance and contribute towards the vision of Vikshit Bharat 2047.

Representatives from Illumine Knowledge Resources Pvt. Ltd., an empanelled partner agency of CBC, shared insights on implementing LSI initiatives.

Dr. Srinivas Venkatram and Biren Anand presented case studies of successful interventions in organizations such as Indian Railways, Indian Post, Delhi Police, and Haryana Police.

They highlighted third-party evaluations showcasing positive impacts on citizen satisfaction scores through improved service delivery.

The Capacity Building Commission will provide ongoing support to the Odisha Government by designing and developing offline and online course curricula tailored to the needs of police personnel and teachers through Karmayogi Police and Karmayogi Shikshak.

It will also suggest proper adult learning pedagogies to ensure effecƟve training. It will help the state government finalize operaƟonal details through consultaƟons with various stakeholders.
