Low pressure to intensify, Odisha to receive heavy rainfall till July 28

Bhubaneswar: The low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal has intensified further. Due to this, heavy rainfall is being received in various parts of the state.

A well-marked low pressure area will take the form of a depression in the next 12 hours. Later, it is likely to move west-northwestwards towards North Odisha and the southern West Bengal coast.

Therefore, the effect of rain is gradually increasing in many places in the state and the possibility of rain has been predicted till the 28th July.

A red alert has been issued for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts today due to the possibility of heavy to very very heavy rain at certain places of these districts.

Similarly, an orange alert has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul and Sundargarh districts today due to the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall in 9 Odisha districts today.
