Lord’s festival being celebrated in Pakistan

Now, Rath  Yatra is not only celebrated in Odisha’s Puri but also in many other countries too.  Interestingly the festivities associated with the annual festival has also been seen in Pakistan New Veikunt Dham Bhakt Samaj(Gaudiya Math) amidst tight security.

The event was attended by large number of people belonging to Hindu community. The Trinity in the Mari Mata Temple at Rattan Talao on Akbar Road in Karachi were escorted out in a ‘Palinki’ and later taken in a colourful procession amidst sounds of cymbals and ‘Mridanga’. The devotees were also seen chanting ‘Hari Bol’ and ‘Jai Jagannath’ during the procession.
