Lord Jagannath Temple to Close for Banakalagi Rituals

Puri: The renowned Lord Jagannath Temple, Srimandir, will be closed for five hours today for the Banakalagi Rituals, also known as the Srimukha Sringara Rituals, dedicated to the Holy Trinity of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.

According to information provided by the concerned authorities, public darshan will be restricted for devotees from 5 PM to 10 PM.

The rituals will be conducted by a specific group of servitors known as the Datta Mahapatra. The Banakalagi ritual will commence following the completion of all other rituals and the offering at the second Bhoga Mandap of Mahaprabhu.
