Looter Gang Busted by Kendrapara Police

Aul: In an achievement for Police, seven miscreants of a robber gang were arrested. They were arrested for hatching a robbery in Angarakha village under Aul police station in Kendrapara district on Saturday.

They were found to be possessing gold jewellery, hard cash, sharp weapons, bikes, 6 mobile phones and guns. The gang of dacoits were history-sheeters with many cases lodged against them.

On December 5, robbery in one Prabhakar Pradhan’s house had taken place at around 8.00 pm. The gang forcibly entered into his house and threatened them with guns. Further they had attacked his wife and father-in-law with a sharp weapon. They had to be rushed to hospital and were in a serious condition. They looted Rs 4 lakh after breaking open their almirah. After issuing a manhunt for them, police finally caught them.
