looter gang busted, 12 arrested

In a major breakthrough, Dharmagarh police today busted a looters’ gang and arrested 12 robbers and seized cash and seven stolen bikes from their possession in Kalahandi district.

The looters, aged between 18 and 30 years, are all from Kalahandi district. They are involved in 13 loot and dacoity cases lodged in various police stations in the district, informed Kalahandi SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat in a press conference here today.

Police seized a toy gun, weapons, Rs 32,000 cash and seven stolen motorcycles from the looters.

Sources said the gang especially targeting the employees working at Microfinance company in the district.
