Liquor Seized in Rayagada, 3 Held

Rayagada: The Excise officers seized over 37 litres of illicit liquors in Gouda Sahi under Kashipur police limits in Rayagada district and arrested three persons including a woman in  this connection. The accused persons have been identified as Khageswar Naik of Block Chhak, Rabindra Goud of Gouda Sahi and Mamita Majhi of Jamuguda.

Based on intelligence, under the directions of Rayagada district collector Parul Patawari and Superintendent of Excise Santosh Kumar Dhal Samant, the team of cops conducted a raid in the Gaouda sahi and seized the illicit liquor; 24 litres of Indian liquor, 11.7 litres of beer and 2.25 litres of foreign liquors from the possessions of the accused persons. The accused persons have been arrested and forwarded to the court.
