Leakage water inside Vande Bharat express shocks passengers

Delhi: Leakage water inside Vande Bharat express has shocked passengers leaving them wet and irritated. There was so much water that it almost seemed like a fountain inside the train.
This traumatic experience was witnessed inside a Varanasi to Delhi Vande Bharat express. It has been alleged by the passengers that the AC stopped working and there was a veritable waterfall inside the premium express train.
The water began leaking from the AC vent of the coach. A passenger identified as Darshil Mishra, shared the video of the entire ordeal on microblogging platform X. He further wrote that despite several complaints, no action was taken by the railway staff.
About the leakage water inside Vande Bharat express he further wrote that the situation was “extremely uncomfortable” leading to chaos inside the train compartment.
However it is worth mentioning here that, the Indian railways responded to the incident via Rail Seva a verified account on X and wrote, “A case of water leakage was reported from the return air duct in coach C-7 (seat no. 76) on Train No. 22415 (Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express).”
The X post further read, “Condensate water accumulated under the cooling coil of the RMPU due to drain holes of drip tray blocked by Mix media/ Return air filter. The water, during braking, entered the return air duct, causing water to drip into the passenger area.”
The Rail Seva X handle added, “The affected RMPU drip tray were thoroughly cleaned at NDLS station before the return journey. Washer provided below the filter to create gap between filter and drip tray thus clearing the drain hole.
“The coach was undertaken in pre-monsoon drive from 15/05/25 to 27/05/25. All RMPUS of the rake are being checked for provision of washer to create gap between filter and drip tray,” confirmed the railways.
