Law and order situation deteriorated in Odisha due to opposition hooliganism in Assembly: BJP State president

Bhubaneswar: BJP Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal has said that the law and order situtation in state has deteriorated due to the hooliganism of the Opposition BJD and Congress parties.“A somewhat awkward situation has arisen in the state assembly. The Congress is trying to make an issue of something irrelevant,” he said at a press conference.

Samal said the sanctity of the sacred Assembly has been violated and the way the Speaker was treated is not expected from any responsible opposition party.“No one has refused the opposition party to make constructive suggestions or criticize. Therefore, opposition should also be constructive,” he said.

“The way the opposition party is behaving without any basis and content is highly condemnable,” he said adding, “The government is ready for discussion on all issues in the Assembly.”He advised the Opposition parties to shun ‘shortcut politics’ by spreading lies and slander.Samal said that the opposition should respect the public opinion by keeping in mind the interests of Odisha. BJP strongly condemns the behaviour, statements and violent means of the opposition party, Samal said.
