Lady Journalist Death Row: Husband, Brother-in-Law Detained

Bhubaneswar: In the lady journalist Madhumita Parida death case in Bhubaneswar the husband and the brother-in-law have been detained by the police. The GRP has detained the husband and is questioning him.

According to reports, the decapitated body of the woman journalist was found on the railway tracks under the Mausima Temple flyover. She had allegedly jumped off the bridge. It is worth mentioning that, the mother of the deceased journalist has alleged that her husband has killed her and thrown her on the railway track. The GRP police has started an investigation based on the allegations of the deceased woman Madhumita’s family. The police has detained the husband and his brother and is questioning them.

It is further worth mentioning that, the husband of the lady journalist told the media that, he had not killed his wife. He further said that, he had never ever beaten her or hurt her in anyway, but that they used to fight on a regular basis. The husband further added since he was a divorcee he did not want to talk about his fights with Madhumita with anyone especially with his friends, as they would make fun of him.

They had married each other since just four months after a courtship period of five years. The woman before allegedly jumping off the bridge shared a video on a popular social media platform and alleged that her husband was having an affair with her friend. The body of the woman journalist was recovered from the railway tracks in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday evening by the Government Railway Police (GRP). There has been a wave of disbelief and shock in the local media houses following the incident.
