Koushik Mohapatra Wins Best Negative Role Award

Bhubaneswar: Koushik Mohapatra, a multi-talented short filmmaker, actor, sportsman, and media personality, has been honored with the State Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for the feature film Chumki (2022).

The award was presented at the State Film Awards ceremony held at the Mayfair Convention in Bhubaneswar. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida presented the award in the presence of Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi.

Koushik, the eldest son of legendary music director and geoscientist Dr. Shantanu Mohapatra, has received acclaim as a writer-director of hundreds of short films. Beyond acting, he has excelled as a state champion in billiards and snooker, a rock musician, and a public speaker, earning accolades both in Odisha and beyond.

As an Executive Committee member of The Bhubaneswar Club, Koushik has been praised for his contributions to the entertainment and sports sectors. Additionally, he advises leading corporations on corporate affairs, communications, and public relations, showcasing his diverse talents as a creative and influential personality.
