KIMS COVID Hospital’s Patient Count Crosses 1k Mark

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): Participating in the war against deadly Coronavirus, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences COVID Hospital in the State capital  has achieved the milestone of treating more than one thousand patients till last Thursday. KIMS has treated more than 30% of the total Covid patients admitted in different dedicated Covid hospitals across the State.

Besides the 500-bedded dedicated hospital in the Smart City, three more district Hospitals under the management of KIMS are operational in Kandhamal, Balangir and Mayurbhanj, following the direction of the State Government. KIMS Covid Hospital, the first dedicated COVID hospitals in the country, became operational on 2nd April. All the four Covid Hospitals under KIMS have maintained marvelous feedback from cured persons, who have expressed satisfaction over the competent and compassionate service of the doctors and staffs.

“Assessing the pandemic situation, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, decided to open COVID hospitals in different districts and towns of the State. KIMS became the first dedicated Covid Hospital in India having 500 general beds and 50 ICU beds meant for COVID patients”, said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, while expressing gratitude to the Odisha CM for involving KIMS in this war against the hazardous disease.
