Kidnapped contractor rescued after 12 hours

Kendrapara: A contractor, who had been kidnapped approximately 12 hours before in Kendrapara district of Odisha, has been rescued. At least two persons have been detained by Police in this connection on Thursday.

As per the information, contractor Sunil Mohanty was partying with his friends near the bridge near the town police station yesterday. At that time, about 8 to 10 miscreants came on bikes and abducted Sunil in a car.

The family members complained to the town police station after getting the news about this. The police tracked Sunil’s mobile number and rescued him from Babar area under Rajnagar block at around 3 am last night.

The police have detained 2 kidnappers involved in the incident. It is suspected that the abduction may have taken place due to business enmity.
