Kendu Leaves Worth Rs 11.94 Lakh Seized in Jajpur

Bhubaneswar: In a joint forest raid, the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance on Friday seized a Bolero vehicle carrying 290 bundles (14.80 quintals) of processed Kendu leaves near Sukinda Police Station in Jajpur district.

The estimated value of the seized Kendu leaves and the vehicle is around Rs 11.94 lakh.

The operation was conducted following a tip-off regarding the illegal transport of forest produce. Authorities are now investigating the origin and intended destination of the consignment.

Further action is underway as part of the ongoing probe.
