Kendrapara, The Frontrunner in Corona Fight

Kendrapara (Pramit Pramathes): The deadly Coronavirus is spreading rapidly day by day in the country as well as in Odisha. Various steps and precautions has been taken by both Centre and State Govt to fight against to curb the virus. The Odisha govt has issued circulars and advisories for all districts of the state and those are efeectively implimented by the district administrations.

Today a good news comes from Kendrapara district. Various extraordinary steps have been taken by the administration to break the Corona chain. After the declaration of complete lockdown around the nation by Indian PM, the Kendrapada DM Samarth Verma and his subordinates are showing true spirit of selfless public service in this pandemic situation.

As many as 450 people from abroad and near about 7000 people from other States of the country have returned to Kendrapara in between the Corona outbreak. All the returned persons are now kept in quarantine and directed to be in isolation till further order. One thousand isolation wards have been built and Screening facility for returning outsiders are being provided.

The administration directs all Panchayats and Block offices to keep strict watch on the isolated persons.  One person was booked for violating the COVID-19 rule in the district. All the issues relating to lockdown;  social distancing and illegal public movement are observed by the DM personaly.
